Nohte
Esports Journalist, Coverage Administrator, Interviewer, and Podcast Host
Hello.
My name is Danish Allana, more commonly known by my alias, "Nohte", in the Counter-Strike and esports community. I've been a fan and avid viewer of CS:GO since 2014, and began working in the space in 2016 on a freelance basis, writing for websites such as Gamurs, Dot Esports, and Unikrn.
I have been a part of the leading Counter-Strike coverage website, HLTV.org, since 2017, when I joined as a part-time coverage administrator for North America, helping to add events, qualifiers, keep track of teams, and interface with tournament organizers to update match information and scores. I simultaneously became a founding writer for Dust2.us, the home for North American Counter-Strike, where I broke news on roster changes, conducted investigative work into unpaid player salaries, and traveled to events to interview players and broadcast talent members.
Since beginning my work at HLTV, I have become a full-time member of staff, becoming their go-to expert on North American Counter-Strike as well as a senior staff writer, helping bring more North American talent into the limelight through interviews and long-form feature pieces. Alongside my role as a writer, I am one of four hosts on "It's Server Time", a Counter-Strike podcast that discusses tournaments and micro-changes in the game's meta and commonly features a wealth of notable guests, ranging from professional players to industry veterans.
Here, you can find examples of an assortment of my work, including interviews with professional players, reports on roster moves, investigative work, event photographs, and feature pieces that take a deep dive into the background and careers of upcoming players and talent.
